I have a 12" troy alpha rail on a MATEN with a 24" barrel. I have never liked it. I wish seekins would sell a 308 SP3R but they don't
Seems like the Mega / Zev wedge lock might be a good option. Anything else you would recommend. I currently have the bulky JP adj gas block which wouldn't fit under most rails. Should I replace that an go with a longer rail? |

I had a JP Mkiii and had substantive contact between my gas tube and the handguard (Kreiger rifle gas, 6.5cm, .936 @ gb journal).
It pushed the tube down enough to cause interference between gas key and tube. This resulted in some strange POI issues as things heated up. I replaced it with an SLR Ion 15.5" and never looked back. Plenty of vertical room for the gas tube. I also used an SLR adjustable block. |

This setup work ok, but doesnt look right. It is convenient for adjusting the GB though.
