My 18" LaRue Stealth absolutely loves the 73gr .223 load. Anyone tried the 130gr 6.5G or 185gr .308 loads?

I have shot some of the 130g 6.5G for velocity but not accuracy. They seem to make one batch a year and then its gone till the next batch.

The 185g .308 is all I shoot in my Tikka unless I'm shooting 100m at my house. 2551fps average in my 20inch barrel with good ES and SD, don't remember the exact numbers. I have shot it out to 1100yards with excellent results, my 16inch gong is quite easy to hit if you call the wind right at 1100yards. 20"Hx9.5"W plates are a little tricky at 1000+ but not at 700.

Sure it might not be a 6.5 but it turns a 308 into a whole different rifle when compared to shooting the 155, 168, or 175 bullets. 175 SMKs get pushed around quite a bit more in the wind than these 185 Bergers. I find it funny when people compare high BC 6.5 bullets to the .30 175g SMK but fail to mention the Bergers.

Thanks, that's good to hear. My Savage 10FCP-SR .308 (20") loves the 175 SMK's, it's indifferent to to 168's. I just built a 20" 6.5G upper with a stainless BA barrel, haven't shot it yet just looking at different ammo options and don't hear much about the Berger's

If you reload for 308, the Berger 180 grain Elite Hunter has a little better BC than the Berger 185 and I can wring 2,622 fps out of it in Federal cases with 43.8 grains of Varget, a 3.00" COAL, and a 20" barrel Bergara B-14 (1:10).  FWIW...

I tried the 6.5 creed and my rifle does not like it... it does push those suckers fast though

I've shot the 6.5 CM 130 Berger FGGM through my ARC/Hawk Hill rifle. I have yet to do serious accuracy testing and I'm not great at shooting for groups but the left most bull is 3 rounds at 200 yards.

I tried the 185gr FGMM load and it grouped a pitiful 2" at 100.

All round holes and right around POA, so nothing crazy was going on.

I run the FGMM 185's through my LaRue OBR and have had great results. I took it out to 1092 yards and got a second round hit on a coyote sized silhouette target. The below pictures are my zeroing target at 100 yards. Steel is 24" at 890 yards. I used my Labradar and got an average MV of 2553 out of a 20" barrel.

My question is my rifle is already zeroed with fgmm 175gr.  I  have quite a bit of 175's on hand, but always trying to improve I've picked up a few boxes of the 185 Berger's and I'm dying to see how they shoot, beings it shoots the 175's pretty decently will i need to rezero to the 185's? Or should it be close enough? Saving me  For the time constantly needing to  adjust.

You will certainly need to adjust for a true zero, but at 100 yards I would expect them to be on paper.

For me, they shot maybe 3" off POA with a 200yd 175gr zero. My bergara seems to shoot everything I've fed it within 4" at 100yds. Everything from surplus ball to fgmm.

They likely won't be zeroed but that does not mean you have to rezero, it depends on your use for them.
If you use the 185s for long range shooting with a ballistic calc you don't need to rezero just put in your offsets.
Telling your calc you're 1.5" high and 2.25" left at 100 is the same as telling it you're zeroed at 100. The calc just needs a reference point.

4 loads in my 308, none are perfectly zeroed. One or two are very close most of the year.

Now if I want to hit something small at 100 or 200yds I will have to dial out the offsets. I only shoot groups at those distances so it's irrelevant, I don't want to shoot out my poa anyway.
