I’m interested in getting a “nicer” 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 (probably 22” barrel) long range precision rifle and am trying to decide what make/model to get...Wilson Combat’s Super Sniper, Nemo Arms, LWRC, JP, etc. Based on your experiences what make/model would you choose? Thanks in advance for sharing.

I built an Aero Precision and it is about as nice as you can get. Really impressed with it.

I built my own on mega receivers but if I were going factory, I would get a GAP10.

+1 for rolling your own w/ Aero components, especially w/ sales this time of year. Mine is reliable, shoots the lights out, and cost very little. If I were buying factory, Nemo or JP.

Beating a dead horse from other threads but LaRue UU Kit, they’ll even assemble it if you want. You won’t beat the quality for the price.

There are quite a few options now for 6.5CM in complete rifles and components to roll-yer-own. For a complete rifle I'd be tempted by the Savage MSR10 Long Range. It has the 22" barrel you want, but I think I might ditch/sell the heavier PRS Magpul stock that it comes with if weight is important for field use and such.
The roll-yer-own route is a good way to go. You can even find a complete, used .308 platform somewhere and install a 22" 6.5CM Criterion Hybrid barrel for $300 and have a sweet deal on a 6.5CM...or build from the ground up. The thing is, there are some pretty good buys on very good and even high end .308 AR's new and used that you can do a barrel swap on. Seems like complete rifles often get a few extra dollars tacked on when listed as a 6.5CM...but not always. |

Thanks to everyone for sharing...harder to make a decision with all the good options.

It's a hybrid profile that is supposedly the sweet spot between a heavy barrel that is not too heavy. I am not disappointed in the feel. I haven't shot it for groups yet so I can't comment on that. I've read a lot of positive reviews about the barrel though and there is a master thread on semi auto 6.5 creedmoors where people are reporting great groups with it. https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/barrel-parts/rifle-barrels/308-ar-hybrid-barrels-6-5-creedmoor-prod84667.aspx?avs%7cManufacturer_1=CRITERION%2bBARRELS%2bINC https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Official-6-5-Creedmoor-AR-Discussion-Photo-Thread/121-713912/ |

Aero M5 builders kit from Schuyler
Ballistic Advantage 22" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel from Granite Ridge. Pick up a muzzle device and your BCG from them, too LaRue MBT while they are still on sale Your preferred adjustable gas block, LPK, grip, and stock Is this the "best" "nicer" gun...maybe, maybe not. Budget has a lot to do with it. I feel for the money, it would hard to beat. One thing with the larger frame guns, some of your standard AR15 armorers tools won't work so you may need to buy some new tools or borrow from a friend. Also post in your HTF. At that point, sky is the limit on glass |

That barrel seems to be a heck of a bargain from Criterion...and Brownells. |

An LMT MWS does that nicer thing just fine and has the added advantage of swapping barrels to whatever caliber and length you want. I have a 16” .308 barrel, a 20” .308 barrel, and a 20” 6.5 CM barrel. Going to buy a 13” .308 barrel for shits and giggles next.

I'd go with the Larue UU kit with matching lower. If I wanted to spend more I'd go KAC. Personally I decided on going with a bolt gun for 6.5 Creedmoor.

I chose the Falkor Defense Omega, in 6.5 Creedmoor. Dracos barrel, and checkout their service policies, to understand the quality of the weapon. Couldn't be happier.
Here's the page from their website: https://falkordefense.com/rifles/omega/ |

Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back. -Heraclitus

+1 on LaRue UU Kit and they will assemble for no additional fee until Christmas, I believe.
