Looking at a new gasser would you guys want a 6.5 creed or a 6mm arc? I'm already heavily invested in 6.5 creed components due to owning a bolt gun chambered in 6.5 but I would likely be working up a different load for the arc so not sure if it really matters all that much. Also there is a huge disparity in mag prices for quality metal mags 6 arc/grendel mags are pretty reasonable vs sr25/larue mags at around 100$ a pop. In the past I had owned a .308 Lmt MWS but at the moment am missing a intermediate cartridge gas gun so looking to fill the spot back up. I really dug my lmt but going back seeing as how invested I am in the creed this time around it'll be a 6.5 gasser. I have some buddies with 6 arcs that are tempting me. what does the hive think? Gun will mainly be for match precision gas gun type matches, and may dispatch some coyotes and pigs as well.

Why not use PMAGs?  They work fine in my .308 and 6.5CM

If I were to have a solid argument against them vs the metal mags id say slightly lesser coal vs the larue/sr25 options but honestly I just prefer them. I had a couple when I had the LMT and just like ya said they work fine (a little tight in some instances)  but I always found myself using the metal mags. So I would likely buy some again but the lions share of mags would be metal.

D&H makes SR25 pattern metal magazines that have a longer coal than the standard SR25 pmags.

This right up my alley. Myself and two friends are waiting for acceptance into our local shooting club. This is giving me time to build a 223 wylde upper and 6 arc upper. I am very curious to see what products you use to build your rifle. Best of luck and have a great weekend

If I go the creed route I'll likely buy another lmt or perhaps a seekins sp10.

If I go 6 arc it'll likely be a build off a cle/Douglas 18 inch barrel.

Enjoy the new range shooting at distance is quite addicting

If you have a bolt 6.5 I’d do the 6arc AR. Small frame AR’s are so much lighter and parts for them are much more common and less expensive.
