Any gel test available for such loads? I'd like a lighter weight, highly effective, and less penetrating round for a gas gun .308 with RDS. I suspect this combo is highly over looked.

300blk, yes.  Full length non-sbr 308, no. Velocity will be higher than what you're looking for. If it's an SBR, go for it.

What would be a good twist for such a light bullet? Looks like they tested it in a variety of rates from 1:10 to 1:12.

Unless it doesn't matter if it stabilizes because it's meant for close, urban ranges.

A 1:15 gives an SG about 1.6, close to ideal. A 1:10 gives about 3.6. If I recall correctly, bullets can stay nose up during the descent when the SG is past 3.0, increasing drag.

Saw that after posting. A pass. I expected much better over 556 offerings.

Would have considered 110 Controlled Chaos or Barnes as well. Didn't know 110's were too light for range. Still good for 300 and in?

Comparable to 69gr SMK in .223. The 110gr VMAX should be slightly flatter, slightly driftier. It'll get there without much fuss.

Its great at 300 BLK speeds. At those speeds I use a 1/7 twist and get sub MOA groups. You are better off with 168 AMAX for a .308 rifle.

I've read in youtube comments that the AMAX is a superior hunting bullet. Does it still expand 500+ yards? You know minimum expansion velocity?
