Food Saver Brand has been good to us with hard use during hunting season and moderate throughout the rest for around 6 years. I see certain models at great pricing at Costco.

My Foodsaver Professional II just gave up the ghost after 20+ years of service.
Bought a FoodSaver FM2100-000 2 days later. Amazon has some good prices. |

Take a look at Weston Vacuums I bought the Pro 2300 after a few food savers died, definitely a step up imho.

My Foodsaver has been working for me the last 8-10 years just fine. I use it about 3-4 times a month to subdivide larger quantity purchases into two person packets.
It was bought at Bass Pro on sale for $69, down from a normal $99. IMHO if its just going to be for medium to light household duty around the house, its hard to go wrong with FS for the money. |
