I've been tasked with picking up some tents for car camping for our youth group.  This is my first choice.  Am I missing anything?

Durability to last a few years, easy setup, rain\wind endurance, not as much internal condensation.  Doubt we'll be camping in extreme weather.

Remember that canvas must be dried after it gets damp to avoid mildew. Canvas is also heavy and hard to pack. I'd go with Polyester or nylon, with enough height to allow for folding cots for the old folks.

You might be on the money or you might be way off.  Describe the kind of camping you will be doing, how the tents will get where they’re going, how much each tent will be used yearly and who will be setting them up/taking them down.

"Car camping" not much hiking in.  Boys will be setting up\taking down.  Mostly 2 night camping or just overnight with a possibility of one full week camp a year.  4 to 6 times a year.

Those seem heavy and expensive.  I would get several BD Megamids.  Lightweight for what they are and easy to set-up sleep 3-4.  NOLS uses them for their expeditions I have used them on youth group  backpacking trips for my youth.  Stake out the four corners run the pole up and guyout as needed.  Got caught on an exposed shelf sheep hunting a couple years ago an tossed the fly up.  without being guyed out it withstood  rain and hail and 40 mph winds till the storm quit.  I moved on to a Seek Outside Cimarron but still have one BD Megamid another parent i the youth group has another.
