Exactly as stated above...  All the other forums have photo threads, tacked at the top.  Why not wilderness camp photos?

just a thought - because the pics get posted in the various camp threads?  I do think a "consolidated" pic thread would be a good idea, though, since not everyone posts a thread on their camping trips...

FMJ's , Is that your cabin?

Bottom pic is a little too crowded for me....

E.T.A....I suppose if it was your cabin you wouldnt be setting up a tent.....duh.

No it's called Jackson Cabin, it was full of mouse crap. I could have slept in there, but why do that when you have a perfectly clean tent. FMJs-of-Freedom

This is a great idea. I can't think of any other site other than Kifaru that has a dedicated section/ thread for this.

This thread should be just fine to be made "official."

You must have one hell of a snorkel kit for the BOV.

We found this plane while hiking an old Indian trail out in the Everglades. Probably an old drug smuggling plane from the 80's, it must've been there a long time it was picked-over and shot-up and out in the middle of nofuckingwhere. Hot as fuck, it was too. A rough day in the backcountry always beats a day in the city though!!

Here are a few from my first camping trip in 3 years. The wife and I took our 3 year old on her first camping trip ever.

This really was the purpose of the trip, it is called the "Pennsylvabia grand canyon.

We also went for a bike ride:

what tent is that? I thought it was the Eureka assault outfitter 2, but upon closer inspection, there are too many differences from the one I had.

You posted to the wrong link...  But anyways, the tent in question is the USMC Combat Tent by Eureka.  The assault outfitter is the commercial version.

I use the same tents.  I do have a question though???  Why do all the tents in your pic have the front door facing the trees?  And just for camoflauge sake- I think the tan side of the fly would have been a better optioon...  JMO.

You mean the straight zip? This side has more room with the rounder door zip, is easier to remove shoes and stuff/store gear. The other side with the straight zip is the escape route? You can do a quick pull and get them open. Could have used the tan but didn't give it much thought at the time.

No biggie...  Just wondering.  I understand the door issue as well as I have always questioned why they didn't incorporate another vestibule.  I was brainwashed (I mean taught...lol) that the round door is a "gear access panel" and the straight zip was the door.  But I agree fully about  the ease & storage.

I am always happy just to be able to get out & set up a tent, aswell.  I don't give much thought, anymore, to the "camo efficiency" either.  I set up my fly one triip in the middle of winter with the green side out.  Looked like a green soccerball in a snowbank.  LMAO!!!

Sorry I dont have any "Tacticool" pics wearing full tactical gear , cammo'd out and carrying enough artillery to wipe out a small village.  I do however have a pic from Ginnie Springs in FL a couple years ago We used to go there several times a year as it wasnt a real long drive from my house in FL. The pic was taken around 9am. Having a cigg and a budlight for breakfast.

Two weeks ago me and a group of friends attempted to climb Mt. Whitney 14,500Ft+/-. Due to weather we did not make it to the top.
But in the end I got a 5 day camping trip out of it, at many different locations on and off the mountain.
Here are the pictures:

When we got here it was raining and in the 70s but the Weather Channel says it is going to be 90+ for the rest of the week.

Well I have a couple of other pictures up from this trip on ARFCOM.  I posted Here and Here but they are not necesarily "camping" pics per se so I did not post them here.  I will be sure to post some MOAB shots in the "new toy" thread if you want to see them.  I have about 300 shots left on my first 8G plus I have another so I will be taking more.

It was obvious from the weather on the previous days that a storm would roll in before we could summit from either camp, so we camped at the lower of the two camps. However, half of our group, in really good shape, still attempted to summit and failed due to weather just as predicted. We only heard of one group that made it to the top that week and they had to camp for 4 days at the upper camp waiting for the proper weather, and keep in mind it was very cold and no fires were allowed.
