2 black Labs. They love to go hunting. Dove, quail, duck goose, they don't care, as long as they are with me hunting. If I shoot it, they'll bring it back.

I have had a Lab, 3 Chessies, and currently have a German Short hair pointer, a Pudel Pointer, and a Deutsch Drathhair. The Drathar is my favorite and I have another pup coming in January. Draths are great on any game you want to hunt, point , blood trail, retrieve ducks and big geese, and will also do fox, coons, coyotes etc... I love all my dogs but will stick with Draths from here on out!

I have a Redbone Coonhound, admittedly this is my first experience with this breed and I probably wont stray outside of this breed again. She is much smarter than her droopy long ears and aloof personality give off.
I have had experiences with wheaten terriers and GSPs. The Redbone Coonhound tops them both. I would recommend to anyone looking at this breed to go ahead, you will not be disappointed.

Its going to seem like forever till I get my pup. |

A good friend of my Dad has three Walker Hounds. His oldest dog has treed or "holed" 14 Mt. Lions now and its only a year and a half old. I went on a successful hunt a couple days past Christmas and was awesome to see the dogs work.

My Jack Russell can't flush or point for shit, but gets ALL kinds of whipped up we I ask if he wants to "Hunt Birdies"?
At least I no longer miss wounded birds that go to ground, and never lose any quail in the tall stubble. |

Gordon Setter. Great hunting and family dog.
My son had a Golden Retriever that absolutely refused to put a duck in its mouth but would retrieve a decoy with glee. No amount of training her would change her mind about those "filthy birds." She would find them and point them, but you had to retrieve them yourself. All I can say is we never lost a decoy. |

I used to have Brittanys. Because of life and work I haven't had a dog in more than five years, but will again when I have the time to devote to them. Might not be a Britt next time but we will see. |
