Is there anywhere I can buy DC Bourone's work that doesn't give a penny to Bezos? I'm not sure if my google-fu is weak or if Amazon is the only game in town.

Hang on. Back on line. Publication pending.
Injured Reserves is back on prime borrowing-- Which means: Injured = FREE for prime members (clawing my face now...) But there is no substitute. I. Have. Been. Looking. And YES a huge retardant/sub-con/con real time is future association/profit from the Big River, which is a ffffffing perfect exponent of unfettered greed/monopoly/ manipulation/pretty much everything that ffffing sucks in the universe of "control fraud" which is what we have now...not. Capitalism. Ok, after five plus years I should be able to start an actual....count down. Will get back to individual posts ASAP/as soon as possible. Soon. DCB |

Awesome!
The real question is going to be "skip the beginning and pick it up where it was stopped on here, or start from the beginning to refresh the memory?" I'll probably start it fresh, because it's awesome. Lol |

If you decide you need a website, let me know I will host it for 3 years for a copy of the book!

Hang on guys.
Should be able to push through this cycle and publish. S.O. Wonder Woman prepping a permanent move to Colorado--very tricky--, I am not a writer, but, etc. Good to see everyone, looking forward to reviewing posts (DFARM/s knife?) see a new name (CrazyCamper good to see you), STJ the General Utility/s must/will be made, etc. GENERAL NOTE: make sure and make extra effort to vote this cycle. This thread has been/must remain "a=political"/NON-POLITICAL as far as searchable brand names (Thank you, all)-- But we know who we are. Back shortly. |

Took me a few days to read through everything, I am seriously excited to have a complete story to read through. Told my son some about the story (he is very young still, but wants it read to him as well)..
Great work DC, I am here for the wait. |

Checking in.
Looking forward to a book. DC is alive and well; I've seen him. It was cool. A book someday would be nice. Edit: It occurred to me that many would probably want to know: I've had the privilege of speaking with DC's woman in depth a few times now. I'm not one for exaggeration; she really is as sweet, smart, humble, and beautiful as he's said. He's not over-selling her. He's as weird and genuine and intelligent as you would think from his writing, and his woman is exceptional. He's actually working on the book, there have been extenuating circumstances... Still, a book some day would be nice. I'll save my observations from the gun range for another post. You'll be intrigued. That's it. |

I keed.
I am doing technical support for my daughter's 13th birthday today/tonight/tomorrow...last effort was getting the karaoke machine going, it's 10 ft from me and they are singing 'Frozen' songs now (I wonder if they know what a fractal is?) but earlier today the hammer and I had a serious staring contest...and I cut up new 15N20/1084 for 2 additional billets. Course you and DC don't care about the hammer or billets...but there are a few in your way that do. |

The work is interesting. Welding up steel in the forge is something I want to figure out.
I managed to make a crappy pair of tongs from rebar today. They work some, but I have trouble holding the work with them. Not many things more exciting than a piece of Orange steel flying across the shop. Lol. I think I need to get the jaws more parallel and they'll be ok. |

The book is coming soon.
Your skepticism is understandable. DC at the range: I have trained others to shoot. I myself have trained extensively in a professional setting. Shooting with DC was... different. I push forward, nose over toes. I draw from a holster and push forward. As soon as the front sight lands in my line of sight I'm breaking the trigger. He starts with his back toward the target, and turns around drawing. He leans back like he's ready to dive one direction or the other. The first 2 rounds are off before the gun is all the way up. All of the rounds landed center mass, then sometimes to the face. No fliers. Very accurate shooting despite the strange technique. He's trained to shoot defensively. He has very good explanations for his style. I shoot like an American cop. He shoots like a 3rd world street fighter. We blew away a plethora of of 2 dimensional bad guys with several different handguns. It was tremendously fun. Stay tuned. |

I had a lot of fun over the last week. Had a big beaver job in a marsh on the river low grounds. Amazing wildlife habitat, I saw an albino doe one morning, fresh coyote fox and cat sign almost every morning. Saw an old coyote hunting along the road going along the edge of the marsh one morning when I was walking out. Beaver were the main target but ended up catching two muskrats and two otter that managed to get into my traps. I was really kinda sad when I finished and had to pull up traps. Pictures are out of order but the first check I had the otter sitting on the pack basket. Second check was the beaver and otter in the basket. Judging by his tail that beaver had been in a fight or two. Pretty big old girl, about 40-45lbs. Last picture was a couple days later. A big male, about the same size as the first.

Coontrapper my heart swelled a little the other day. My Grandson who will be three soon told his mom he wanted to go Coyote calling with papa on friday.
Backing up a bit in September he would ask if he could go and i told him as soon as he quit wearing diapers he could go. By the end of September he was out of diapers. I would take my wife and him at first just encase he wasn't up to it. I didn't want to travel for a couple hours to turn around and head home. He did good on stand he starts fidgeting a bit and the stands went from ten minutes at the most to seven minutes now. For those asking why the less time on stand. Out west the hard charging Coyotes come in, in the first four and half minutes after that it is the lurkers and with a fidgeting baby it's a lost cause. Two weeks ago was the test. He and i went solo he did very well on that trip. I had mentioned earlier last week that if he didn't have school he could go with me on friday. I get the call thursday him saying he wanted to go. I couldnt resist. Usually i have about a five Coyote day but since he is going I'm lucky to call one in. I'm not sure if it's because of him or lack of Coyotes in the area. A price I'm willing to pay to take him. I told my wife when he gets older I'm going to teach him to trap. He will not lack for hunting partners his Aunts Uncles and Cousins all love to hunt. |
