The ones that I ate the pop tarts (COTS) were opened and stale  I guess the reasoning is so they the pressure differential doesn't make them explode. I have a few cases to supplement the HDRs. My thought is one HDR and 2 of these rations would cover one person for 2 days with a little more variety than just the HDRs. |

What makes these attractive is the included heaters (which HDRs lack). Think of it this way: If you are looking forward to eating either one of these or an HDR you are starving and things are probably very bad. At which point, you will be glad you bought several cases for the minimal investment. I have 2 cases and am going to get a couple more |

Sorry fellas, I didn’t know. I also sent the deal to a few of my buddies. That company selling the mre’s are knowingly selling trash. All of mine were dated back 5-6 years and every heater I tried was dead. They were also the low sodium variety everyone was blowing out years ago. I seen similar comments here and a few other places like This I did send a fairly bitchy email and they refunded me within five min. |

I don't care what they do with my gear collection but at least try to get something out of the more valuable stuff. Nice axes, knives, and ammo isn't getting cheaper anytime soon.  My wife knows that some of my collection has some value to it and it's mostly organized in my gear room so there is that.

I have one nephew that will appreciate all this stuff when I'm gone that tag sale man I did not need anything but there were some pouches that I wanted and was going to get condor or some off brand and then US made ones for $5 I even got some sapi cut plate backers for like $59 the cake was the molle belts and harness for Like $10 and the cobra buckle cow belts for $10 and 2.88 canteen covers I"m set for life as long as I don't get fat! even the bungee cords set for $3 were great ($15 on amazon) I really wanted a chest rig pouch but It was like $38 and they had chest rigs for $35 I did miss out on the pistol lanyards. Luckily years ago I got a deal when blackwater stopped selling gear and got some for $2 I really don't need to spend but when it will save money if in the future why not! |

Sure, if you hunt and peck you can find BCA side chargers for just about equal to or slightly less than that (I have one) but I think the RTB upper is lighter, and the overall build has a better fit and finish than the BCA stuff. For me at least from a utilitarian standpoint, I am fine with budget builds as long as they are reliable. I also don't run thousands of rounds through my center fire rifles simply because I can't afford to. I use and enjoy shooting bolt action variants mostly at this point because it slows down ammo usage. I shoot a lot more 22lr than anything else. 9mm being a close second for my range time. |
