Holy....

Might have to get you to send it back my way, if no one else asks that hasn't gotten it yet. Is everyone still adding their contributions in their own folders? I need some way to sort through all mine and delete out redundants.

Thanks again, man! This is a WEALTH of knowledge, and I don't think I could read it all if that's all I did for the next 20 years Good reference material, tho!

Most importantly, if it hasn't been covered in the 7 pages I didn't quick browse through. Recharging the pdf reader? IE a kindle/ect may be a good way to go about it, but whats the best way to use a solar panel to keep it charged? I lap top seems like a battery hog in comparison to one of those smaller devices.

I would imagine that if its not already an available option, that eventually someone will offer a plug that'll interface between the solar panel and the Kindle. Thats what I have for my Ipod at the moment.

Some interesting reading, there
Heres a guy who did up a checklist off Ferfals stuff

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/107036/Ferfal-ArgentinaSurvivalChecklist.pdf

This gentlemans scribd page seems to be charge-free

http://www.scribd.com/buckonbeach

None of the other recent docs I've found are worth posting links to......

Thanks for sharing

I see that you made a PDf of the battery power station thread here

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_17/632626_Build_your_own_portable_power_station__An_ARFcom_tutorial__very_pic_heavy_.html.

Is there any chance you could go back and expand that document to include his original thread and some of the back and forth feedback from the other posters in that thread and this one

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_17/660802_So__a_portable_power_station_was_just_returned_to_me__Any_way_to_resuscitate_two_dead_AGM_batteries_.html ?

I thought that was a good thread and thought at the time that someone should make a lot of the info in that thread into a stand-alone PDF so the info isn't lost.....

Does anyone know where I can find another copy of the Frugal Survival Bible (not the exact name?)? It was pretty awesome. Haven't seen it online since we had a 56k connection.

There are so many different books out there it would be helpful to know the actual name of whatever book you're thinking of.

Bump with a link for you and the poster who was headed for the beach last year on Independence Day.

Saw this page http://www.megaton.us/megaton/2009/3/7/post-apocalyptic-audio-dramas.html

and thought of your post in this thread.

Some of the audio stuff listed isn't readily commercially available anymore, but it has to be out there floating around if you wanted to look for it.

Thought I'd bump myself witha  continued thought on this particular post.

For those of you looking for audio stuff, try  this link

http://librivox.org/

Literally thousands of different texts over many genres. use the advanced search function to narrow your search down for a particular item, but its all in the public domain
