I told her I would help her drag and load, but her kill she gets to do most of it. Let's just say the loading process wasn't super smooth. |

65 yards with my suppressed 300 bo. He went about 25 yards. Heart shot. Still amazes me they can go so far with their heart exploded.
Attached File Had to take him because of the cool antler. It looks like it broke then healed downwards. |

Got it done last night. He came in about 640PM and refused to turn broadside for me. After watching him for about 5 minutes he finally turned quartering towards me. Hit right behind front shoulder and exit mid body (you can see exit wound in pic). Double lung and he still ran about 100 yards before crashing. Pretty new to hunting and this is my second deer taken, but my biggest thus far. Very grateful to harvest this guy. |

As we were low crawling to get in position for a shot after this deer snuck up behind us, we heard 2 shots across the road, followed by a child's yell "wahoo"! My son dropped his 5 minutes later, so successful all around! |

I took this large whitetail doe late Saturday on the final day of Pennsylvania's early muzzleloader season*. The range was approximately 55 yards. The location was private property in Tioga County.
The shot entered behind the right shoulder and penetrated the chest cavity but did not exit. Upon skinning the deer, there was a large bruised area behind the left shoulder. It ran a bit and because the shot was a little too high, the blood trail sucked. It bled out internally.
Attached File It's my first deer with a smokepole. It dressed out at well over 100 pounds. We had a heck of a time getting into the back of my Xterra. Between this deer and a button buck my friend took in the morning, we filled a gallon ziploc bag with fat that I'm going to render into tallow for patch lube. * Inlines, percussion guns, and optics are legal in the early season. PA also has a flintlock-only, no-optics late season after Christmas. |

My boy isn't a great shot but he can shoot 10 rounds into a 1" circle at 48m. I wish I could bow hunt on my place but it's too small and the neighbors don't want us on their place. |

Broke the ice with this nice little 6 point. NH muzzleloader.
I shot him and he wobbled a bit, and went down. Then he got up and did it again. I reloaded the muzzleloader and looked up to see him gone. Then I heard a deer running off and couldn't believe it but he had just slid down out of sight. Never saw the other deer. Attached File |
