Anyone here know anything about them?

Starting to think about a pup in a year or 2.  I have weims now and I love the darn things - but we just don't get to do a lot of upland hunting without going east of the mountains.  Realy do more ducks and geese & I'm just not enthused about a big lab. The Toller seems interesting, good cold weather dog, not terribly big - 50-60 lbs.  I don't know much beyond that.

Tollers are great dogs. This is my friends dog, Scarlet. She’s a real go-getter and a sweetheart. She weighs about 40 pounds. The pictures are from Cold Bay, Alaska. She’s real good with the geese and Brant.I wouldn’t mind having one myself

Pretty gal!

I think the smaller size may be a plus.  A number of my friends dogs have blown acl's over the years.  I think when they are chasing down a duck in muddy conditions their large size and drive results in overloading their joint structure.  Thinking a bit smaller dog may be more durable.

My friend had one. Nice dogs.  I never heard of them until that pup.
