Onto the point of this thread.

The taller vacuum insulated "bubba tank" that is sold at Walmart is a nice coozie for a one liter Nalgene.

You can wash the Nalgene in the dishwasher.

I'm happy because I have cold water now and I can have hot stew next winter.

I've been using the Bubba Tank as a coozie for my Nalgene water bottles since I posted this thread.  I have the tall Bubba Tank and the shorter one too.  The tall one does make an almost ideal coozie for a one liter Nalgene.

While I am at work these have to sit in the car.  I have to lock the car, so no window down to vent. We have had some 110+T+ days back in June, and 98 is just daily normal now.

I have been freezing a Nalgene about half full so I have a nice big chunk of ice in the bottom half of the bottle.

On my way to work I set the ice Nalgene in the tall Bubba Tank and a Nalgene of chilled water in the short one.  I also take another bottle of chilled water and that gets me through the day.

So the other day was a bit dramatic at work.  I was able to get free supplement ice at work that day so I did not use the ice bottle I had prepared.  Got home too durn tired to think about water bottles in the car.  Car sat in sun the next day, and I went back to work with other chilled and iced water bottles.

Well on day two for this ice bottle I don't get supplement ice...and I'm sorting through my water...There was that ice chunk in a water bottle on day two.

So I can now give this combo a good 36 hour rating.

if you don't mind the colors, several are on sale. use brick seek to see if any are on sale at a store.

even if it says there may be 2-3 at a store, the inventory control could be off, because of thefts, so don't be disappointed if it says some are at a store and you don't find them. at the store, scan the item to make sure it is on sale, because they may have things that look similar, but with different sku's
