Took my wife to a friends farm.  Ended up with 28 in under 2hrs.  Got cold and windy (hence hiding in the equipment),  so we bailed early.  Pretty fun day

This is actually pretty funny.  There are 5 chucks in this pic.  They kept falling into that hole on the right.

The first picture looks like something out of Stalingrad.

I need to find the time to do something like this.  These little fckers are destroying my barn's foundation.  It has been a battle for YEARS.  You kill 3, next year there are 5...

I did a long hunt/stake out for about 2 hours last year.  I only got one that time.  I just don't have the spare time to set aside for a few long hours.

Did you use any bait?

I had issues with groundhogs tunneling under my shop floor when I moved in (previous owner didn't care). I tried sitting for hours, sneaking around the corner to hopefully catch them far enough from the burrow to catch a shotgun blast. None of it worked... body grip traps (keep your animals away) were the golden ticket. Killed several groundhogs with them over the next month or so and haven't seen a groundhog around here since then.

+1

Only took like 2 with conventional rifle hunting... Wiped the hole colony in 2 days with some Duke 155's and a couple Duke 220's (body grip traps). Find opening.. set trap over opening. Come back that evening or next morning.. dispose of the dead.

The best part was they dug their own graves.. tossed them back in the holes and filled them with gravel and dirt.
