| Well it started out as a flatbed only. I like a wood deck because stuff doesn't slide and it stays cooler. Then after buying stuff for the flat bed, wifey is like....a dumpbed would be awesome for hauling some rock and gravel, wood etc. So it morphed into a dump bed. So for me it made sense to make metal sides for damage control. Also noise control, throwing stuff into a metal bed is loud... |

So today I was driving in the big town near us, and we (uxb and I) passed by a corner we often pass by....and there was an old truck sitting out there in the yard, for sale. Shined up and lookin' pretty. Lotsa Chrome baby!
It was an early 70s model I'm guessing (I know next to nothing about truck models). I dunno...Ford, probably, but who cares? It was gorgeous and green.
And it had a new wood bed on it, with new wood sides and the bed set sort of high. I swerved in the road. Uxb was like, "wtf?" I'm like, "Is THAT A DUMP TRUCK????? BANSIL HAS A DUMP TRUCK THAT'S A FLAT BED KINDA LIKE THAT!!!!" He's like, "stop and look at it!" We had to get to the vet before closing, to get the uber-expensive special cat food for our oldest cat who has kidney failure and is on borrowed time, so we drove on by. But we came BACK by, and drove really slow. Horns blowing and all that. Looking. Looking. LOOOOOOKING... There was no good place to pull over but.... Looking for the apparatus that could lift the bed. Is it? is it? Damn. Doesn't look like it.
Ah, hell. It coulda been the new KWS Lawn Service Dump Truck, dammit.
I knew what to look for, sort of, because of this thread. 
I'm still not 100 percent certain, but I don't think it was a dump truck. Dammit.

So left off with a hole drilled for pivot pin, since it was drill from 2 different sides the pin didn't go through...solution? A 3/4 inch reamer
