what I have found is after we replace the fuse it would not turn over so I checked the battery and it was dead.
New battery and it cranks just fine, but will not start.

Here is a list of all the connections to Fuse F5.

Switched Power - Run - SST, ePowrReverser, and
eHydro Main Circuits:
In addition to the voltage present at the locations of the
unswitched power circuits, voltage must be present at the
following components during the following conditions: key
switch in the run position, transmission in neutral, PTO(s) in
off position, park brake locked, MFWD in unlock position,
operator off seat:
• Key Switch terminals 3 and 5
• Alternator terminal IG
• F5 Fuse
• X3 Connector
• Seat Switch
• Park Brake Switch terminals A, B, C and D
• X8 Connector terminals A and K
• Rear PTO Switch terminals A, D, F, G and H
• Mid PTO Switch terminals A, G and H
• MFWD Switch terminals 1 and 2
• V2 Diode Block terminals 1 and 2
• MFWD Solenoid
• K2 Start Relay terminal 86
• K5 Trailer Relay terminal 86 (if equipped)
• K6 Fuel Solenoid Timer Module terminals 30 and 87A
• K11 Rear PTO Interlock Relay terminal 86
• K12 PTO Interlock Relay terminal 30
• K13 Neutral Relay terminal 30
• K14 Mid PTO Interlock Relay terminal 30
• K15 Mid PTO Lockout Relay terminal 30
• K16 Mid PTO Relay terminal 30

All of the K7 through K16 relays are the same.

not sure what to try or if it's a fuel relay or what/

Does it keep popping the fuse?

I have a 6405.  Kept popping fuse and wouldn't start.  Turned out to be a fuel heater that I can just unplug because I'm in S. Texas.  Unplugged it.  No more problems.  Learned that from the Internet and from a JD mechanic down the road after I had solved it.

Have you verified you have power at those locations?

A blown fuse won't normally generate smoke, something else let the smoke out. Whatever was shorted to cause the fuse to blow likely also went. Get out the multimeter and start checking voltage and continuity.

If it turns over but doesn't start the fuel relay would be the first thing I checked. Is there another non-critical circuit that uses the same relay? I would try swapping. Make sure it's exactly the same, the schematic mentions it being a timed relay.

just ordered one, the post on green tractor people complained in 2016 as it was a $40 part, it's now $90

I'll try that and if that does not do it will try and get time to test each thing on that

thanks everyone
it was the fuel relay!
pulled the old one out and it looked burned up and put new one in and she fired right up

I guess after almost 20 years things go bad
