So at the new house I bought it has 2 apple trees and a crab apple tree.  A couple days ago we picked the apples probably ended up with around 20 apples from the one apple tree the second tree produced exactly one apple this year.  Today I decided to start doing something with them. Wound up filling my dehydrator with apple slices and filled a crock pot to make apple butter.  Took the scraps and stuffed them in some ball jars to make apple scrap vinegar.  Still gotta make the apple pie filling and figure out what to do with the   crab apples.

Don't people make crab-apple jelly?

Yeah I found a recipe evidently crabapples have enough pectin that you don't need pectin so the ingredients are water crabapples and sugar.  

The apple butter recipe was just apples, cinnamon and some nutmeg
