I’m primarily a bow hunter, but I don’t mind using a rifle.

I use a longbow, compound, muzzleloader, and rifle to take game. I just don’t use a crossbow. Those things terrify me.

OP I would suggest hunting outside of your state and then you can turn your nose up to others who choose different methods of hunting.

I've hunted back in the Mid West and if I had to hunt deer there I think I would've given up on deer hunting years ago.  Tree stands and blind hunting bores the shit out of me.  I have turned down many job offers back east because I will not sit in a blind, treestand, pay/lease private land, or hunt over a feeder.  But if that's what someone enjoys doing than so be it.

My uncle came out west hunting this year for the first time.  He is hooked and will be doing it again next year.  He called me today to tell me that he was Bow hunting back home and it just wasn't the same as being out here.

Hunting, for me, is about filling the fridge. The challenge and being out and about in the bush- while great- are secondary concerns. A rifle is typically far more efficient at fulfilling the priority objective.
