I've bought 26 pound buckets of Augason Farms from
walmart.com and also sacks from Great River Organic milling on Amazon/eBay (I think). Both have been fine, but I think the availability and pricing is still abnormal from the COVID circus. I've paid as little as $14 delivered for the walmart wheat. I keep hard white, red, and soft white on hand.
Typically, you can adapt any recipe to whole wheat. If the recipe calls for all purpose you'll need a little more water. Sometimes you'll also need to add wheat gluten. Search the interwebz for more tips on converting recipes.
This is my favorite sandwhich bread recipe:
https://www.browneyedbaker.com/whole-wheat-sandwich-bread-recipe/I've used home milled wheat with gluten added for the bread flour without an issue. It will need a touch extra water.
