Took an afternoon break from deer hunting and road the ranch... hogs were out in full force gobbling up acorns under the Live Oaks... we saw perhaps 50+.

Killed ten and called it a successful time-killer. The .300 BO sounds relatively quiet and you can really hear the bullet impact.

I'm using my home-rolled 220gr Nosler CC with 8.6grs AA #9, I'm getting 1040 FPS with full suppressed functioning and bolt lock back.

This will for sure be my CQB hog gun lol.

Nice work!
Were you able to recover any bullets?  I didn't expect those kinds of results from CC slugs.  Off to see if I can find any.

Heck yeah, that's awesome!
I wish like hell we had wild hogs up here in WI but I'm sure the farmers don't haha.
So are those nosler bullets actually expanding upon impact?

I didn't attempt to recover any bullets... some appeared to pass through w/o expanding.

At what distances did you shoot them?

15 yards to about 65 yards.

Do you think the lack of noise made them less likely to bolt? I hunt them suppressed, but always opt for supersonic rounds for the increased energy. Do you always go with subs, and what made you go that route?

I believe a big part of the issue with the hogs not hauling ass out of complete sight when I shoot, suppressed or not, is the fact the property I hunt only gets hunted by me... I have exclusive and sole access to the property (3500 acres) and have had so for the last five years.

I normally shoot .223, 6.5G, or 6.8SPC suppressed and this is my first adventure/experience using the BO. I went suppressed just because the fun factor... and as the velocity is obviously slower, I'll be using discretion when shooting hogs, I'll only shoot them close up like 50 or so yards out.

You may invite me any time you need help.    I will bring my suppressed .300 BLK.

Nice job. 300blk does the job nicely and is what I use when not using 30/30.
