We are looking at a 6 month old Springer, but would have to have it shipped. Air shipping isn't really an option right now because I live in the middle of the desert and it has to be below 85 deg to ship animals, and that won't happen for probably a few months. I looked at U-ship, but the idiots on that show they had kinds have me not leaning that direction. Any other ideas? Dog is in Oklahoma City area and need to get to So Cal/Las Vegas.

We ship puppies often.  You can usually get a flight meeting the temperature requirements late night or early in the morning.

ETA: United offers climate controlled cargo for shipping pets.
