Looking to get some deep cycle batteries for a small outdoor off-grid project. I'm figuring 200ah @ 24v will be overkill for what I'm doing. Wondering whats the best place to get them. Good brands. I was looking at 200ah 12v renogy at the moment but looking to see if theres better options.

Costco Golf Cart batteries for old-school technology
Costco also had LiOn batteries for sale - I think a two pack (ea is 105 Amp-hrs) for $1400 or something..

They will be outdoors and don't charge when the weather is freezing.

Got access to a Sam's club?  The Duracell brand batteries are made by East Penn.  GC2, 6 volt, run 2 in series for 12v.  Or do a series/parallel with any even number of them.  They have AGM which are more durable than the standard flooded variety.  Not sure of your budget, but they go from $90-$180.

You can buy heated batteries, and insulate your enclosure to somewhat help. The charging source will run the heaters until the batteries are up to temp for charging. I have no experience or affiliation but the brand is solid and highly reviewed.
