I’ve always been curious about hunting big crocs...what caliber/rifle do you use?  And how would one go about retrieving your kill?  I have no ambition of attempting this, I have a hard enough time staying alive stateside....I’m just hoping for some stories of those who have done it

I think 300 win mag is about the minimum.  You brain shot them or break their spine so they can't get back in the water or else you send out a local to find it and tie a rope on.

No need to fly across the world to battle water dragons in the swamp. Check out Alligator hunting in FL.

Guns are not permitted, so we used harpoons, a crossbow, treble hooks, a .357 bang stick, and a KaBar. Biggest one was 12’ 6” but was missing a good bit off the end of his tail. He soaked up 3 rounds from the bang stick in the back of the head before giving up. They are tough!
