Today was a fun day. Guys from out of town wanting something to  pull on so it was over slot reds. Plenty to go around today and fun had by all. Cut crab was the bait of choice today on the bottom incoming tide.

Outgoing tide today for 2hrs then a switch looking for tarpon in the inlet. Decent bite for the reds but the tarpon never showed. I used 5 gallons of pogies and not one fish in the chum line. Oh well there is always tomorrow..

Started the morning looking for bait and found all I wanted. Unfortunately the ocean was a bit too much for my clients and we had to go inshore. We saw tarpon but that’s another day. We went to the shade of the Vilano bridge and let clients drink beer and wait for the bite. Easy day…

Weekend boat traffic is a bitch but we found the fish and I got the job done. Live mullet was key today as I could not find pogies. That was the biggest 16-17 year old kid over ever seen. I would not want to play football against him!!!

I’ve been around awhile but don’t remember the rules for posting one own website as that could be considered advertising and I like arfcom. Osprey21 can tell me if I’m allowed to post my fishing website

Damn nice Reds! Oh, and the damn sharks have been thick this year. Constantly fighting them off my stringer when spearfishing. Had a large bull shark that pushed me too far so he got the power head. Hated to did it but, it was him or me.

A couple weeks back, I had to swim out and to the bottom in about ten feet at night at Haulover canal, to free my castnet from a rock.
About twenty minutes later, my buddy caught a bull about 4 feet long.
Brrrrr!

I like me some redfish.

What are your thoughts on the mullet run?
I've heard some rumblings, but as of yet, seen NOTHING.
