West TX hunt

Stalked a heard for the better part of the day and could not get a shot on the ram we wanted from above.  Moved down to the base and got ahead of the heard.  Waited for them to come around and this ram showed up and gave me a shot.  Shoulder shot took out heart/lungs.  He bucked once and rolled down a few yards.  Climb up to him like to kick my ass.

Javelina pic just cause.

Great looking ram. I miss the Unit 34 OTC Public lan DIY hunts. Took two sheep in the cliffs west of Alamogordo the past two years. I’ve since moved and it’s no longer a viable option for this year.

Definitely not a hunt for people afraid of heights unless you want to glass ridges all day and have a guild that doesn’t mind doing all the climbing to get the sheep.
