Anyone using a Boafeng or similar to monitor Dakota Alert transmitters?

I thought this would be a good idea but....

I seem to have the frequency and the tones are clear/off in my radio and I'm getting a series of mic clicks and wondering if that's it and how I would use another transmitter if all I'm getting are clicks.

It's a 4000 series transmitter so it's not the older MURS transmitters.


Anyone using a Boafeng or similar to monitor Dakota Alert transmitters?
