Modularize it.   Alternator/battery/inverter for power.   Get a belt driven water/trash pump for bulk flow.   Air compressor pump    Make it so you can swap out for the need.

Adult sized go-kart. There are parts kits available on-line from mild to wild.  Not everything has to make sense, sometimes it just needs to be fun.

Motorized wheelbarrow/load hauler/forklift thingy.

Only saying that because I spent the last couple weeks moving around a bunch of heavy machine shop equipment and I really wish I had one.

There you go!

Great idea, and easy to add over aperiod of time, you do not need to buy all at one time.

Get an internally regulated alternator (GM) and you have a car jump starter/battery charger.

Find a large inverter and you have 110v.

Find a trash pump and adapt that into the mix.

Spend another $50 or so to get it working and sell it for $400 during the next big storm ?

Belt-driving an automotive alternator with it will put a significant side load on the engine crankshaft bearings - which may not be designed to handle it.

Then you've got the expense of the automotive alternator, appropriately-sized pully, drive belt, mounting bracket, voltage regulator, etc.

Honestly, getting the existing generator head working might be your cheapest option.

I have a little experience with B&S/Generac generators - This one was modified to run a window air conditioner in a pickup -

Maybe we can work through it.

Can you find a wiring diagram for it?
