Been trying to pick more stuff up and supplies, I just have this horrible vision in my head of some bad, dystopian society under the current regime. Or a Venezuela style disaster.
I pray that such never happens, but with the way things have been going, who knows. I have visions in my head of shortages and people standing in long lines for little at all. I think of that video out there of a Soviet style grocery store in Russia and the misery. |

She moved here (legally, mind you) and spent about 4 years working in an Amazon warehouse and now works in a call center, just keeping her head down, working hard, and trying to earn her citizenship. This spring, she's eligible to apply. She's seen it first hand. It's worse than most imagine. She's inspired me to take my "paranoia" and focus it. Regardless of what happens in this country, there is no bad thing about food storage or preparedness. If life goes on as usual, fantastic. In the meantime, I'll not have her or my family go hungry, even if only for a few weeks due to natural or man-made disasters. |

Thanks OP.
I've racked up a good bit of calories and varieties at 4x on sale Auguson cans at a time the past year. |
It says on the can there is a 10 year shelf life if stored properly. 5 years for the peanut butter.

Never heard of powdered peanut butter. Does it stick to the roof of your mouth?
Grabbed 4 because I’d rather buy cheap and stack deep than venture out to wait in lines, get jumped after getting a paltry ration, then expend expensive ammo to protect myself.
Thanks OP, I got 4 cans of bananas as well. Looks like the PB is gone at that price.
I don’t really have much for stores so I think I’ll crack open my bananas and if they’re decent order a few more.
Has anyone tried these and if so, are they any good? I've eaten really tasty banana chips and really nasty banana chips before. Where do these fall on the spectrum?

Peanut butter is back. Wonder why such low shelf life?
Sams club sells powdered peanut butter And I’ve hade or around 5 years and still powder. Taste is good and it’s in a cheap plastic container I think it’s dried not freeze dried |
Thanks for the heads up on the peanut butter, the honey powder and queso powder is on sale also

What's the advantage of powdered peanut butter as opposed to jars of pb?
Not trolling, genuinely curious. |

Havent tried the powder stuff but normal jars of PB have a shelf life of about a year maybe 2 max whether organic or hydronated/sugar filled the can shit says 5 year shelf life. Would be able to move and store easier without water weight. So it cuts weight and space and gives you 5 times the shelf life. That price was reasonable based on serving.

I just found another one of these that expired in 2017
Attached File It’s still fine powder and tasted fine, I’m thinking the cans should last more than 5 years |

Best by: may become less tasty after said date. Expiration: not safe to eat after that date (approximately). |
