We have a guy locally that collects vintage trucks, military, industrial, some equipment. Wrote it up as a museum, gets, grants, build several large nice metal buildings to house them as a write off. Public access,....not so much, he hosts an annual museum dinner on site. Huge tax shelter dodge I am told. |

Nice to report that TGIF Parrot TG 9990 is working so you can test to see if TGIF is hearing you for a quick radio test and to see that you're connected to TGIF. The audio that comes back will be choppy for whatever reason..I've used it before and after full quieting QSOs so that isn't necessarily representative of your audio on a regular talkgroup.

I’ve been reading up on how to connect to this but can’t get it figured out. Is there a way to connect through Fusion?

Check out the links in the OP on getting the pi-star based hotspot set up to cross mode..getting into the TG 556 with a Fusion radio is pretty popular as you just use a simplex frequency in digital mode, with no need to build a codeplug on a DMR radio. |

It wont connect. I will try again tomorrow to see if I can get the App to work, or maybe look into another option. ETA: reinstalled the app, and now it connects. I will see if I can test it out Thursday |

View Quote That's a good idea to check this thread during the net to assist somebody trying to check in... S=Time Slot - use 2 CC= Color Code - use 1 Make sure you have TGIF's password in the settings, Either a 10-character key when you register on TGIF, Or passw0rd .... The key prevents someone else from using your DMR Id to transmit on TGIF |

Dumb question from a DMR newb. Will simply programming in talk group 556 work, or is there more to it? Radio is a TYT MD-UV290.
