The 40M dipole won't work so well on 80M unless it is UP in the air. I can hear great pretty good on 80M with my 40M dipole, but at 5' NO ONE can hear me. I'm going to add an 80M dipole to my 40M NVIS config and get the apex about 15' in the air. [ETA Original message  ]

Ok, I'm having some issues here. My radio will TX on 40m just fine, but now it's freaking out when I try to push a 5w AM carrier for my auto tuner to tune 20m  I hope to God I don't fry this thing first night out with it

my LDG Z100 will not tune unless you switch to AM Nationwide, switch to AM, key your mic, HOLD the tune button till the red light goes out, while still keying the Mic, let go of the tune button, you should hear it clickingwhen it stops, you get a green light, and good to go. DONT FORGET TO TURN YOU POWER DOWN TO ABOUT 10 Watts.  Frostbite, Im on the WW7RAW repeater right now, and it works, I just had a QSO with some kid named zach. |

 Damn thing is shutting off and the display did some wierd shit  I hooked up my TS-50 and TX a 5w AM signal and the tuner did it's thing to 14.275. I hooked the FT-857 back up and it does this shit. But it works FINE on 40m... WTF??? |
