I bought one of these for my wife to keep her warm in bed (she always complains about cold feet).

It works incredibly well.
It is built like a tank.
Has a well thought out design.
Is Reusable.
Can use the same water over and over again.
Can be heated directly on a stove or gill.

I imagine these could be used to keep you warm during a power outage or could be used in a sleeping bag for winter camping.

I wrap mine in a flannel pillowcase because it can get too hot.

It will keep a bed warm for hours under a comforter.

It is like a portable, reusable radiator.

Not affiliated with the company, but I will be buying several of these to keep up at our seasonal place up north.

Where would you tuck it in a sleeping bag?

Interesting...

Our GSD, who likes to quietly sneak into bed between the wife and I's legs in the middle of the night, also has a penchant for unscrewing the caps off of things.  Probably not a good fit for this household.

I once used one in the garage, to work on my Jap snowmobile engine.
As well as adjusting my jap shocks.

The screw cap goes on tightly. You can wrap it in a blanket or towel to restrict access to it.

Open sleeping bag, insert it all the way to the very bottom, and reseal the sleeping bag until you are ready to use it. Keep it in or take it out, your option.

Sounds like it would turn into a bomb if you let it boil?

Gosh, this seems familiar....bricks and water bladders in the days of yore come to mind.

What's old is new again.

I think our cats would hog it though

Or you could just heat it with the cap off and remove the container from the heat as it starts to boil

Only if you were dumb enough to keep the cap on while heating.........

Take off screw in cap. add water. heat. once done heating add screw on cap to seal. put in blanket. put in bed.

It isn't rocket science guys.

It is like the bed warmers of old with soap stones or coals.

Looks good to me.

I heat up water and put it in a Nalgene Oasis canteen, then wrap it in a shemagh and tuck it in my sleeping bag in cold weather. I'll put it in the torso area a little before bed time and it warms up the bag nicely. When I get it I push it down to the footbox. The water will still be warm in the morning, so it then gets heated back up for coffee.
