Which ever is most accurate in your rifle.

Personally I like the bonded core bullets, but Barnes makes good bullets as well.

I like 62gr Fusion, but ...

The 62gr Fusion is awesome, but I doubt you'd be disappointed with the Barnes either. I killed my biggest-bodied buck to date with the 62gr Fusion and would have called you a liar if you told me what that bullet would do before I saw it myself.

Thanks everyone I picked up some more fusion today.  I’ll report back.

I’ve had great luck with gold dot/fusion in all calibers for hunting, including 223

I shot the Hornady 73 Grain Critical defense round last year. It was a NASTY little bugger. Farthest kill was just shy of 200. Took # with my Ruger American Ranch.

I've had great success with Speer 64gr Golddot on hogs and deer so I'd say 62gr Fusion which is same bullet.

I have killed deer with both. In my experience the fusion has worked better. Both completely penetrate on heart lung shots, the fusion just seems to kill them quicker.

I shot my first deer in years last week and it was my first with a 223 as well. Shot a doe about 55 yards away with 62gr Fusion. I was blown away by the performance of the round! Ive only hunted with 30 cal my entire life and this dang near resembled some of the shock Ive seen from 308 and 300WM at certain distances. The round went through both shoulders and was found under the skin on the exit side. Absolutely obliterated the heart and lungs. Ive never had a deer bleed so much.

Last year and the year before, the grandson shot a good sized doe with the 62-grain fusion out of his 16-inch AR15.  Both shots were about 80 yards.  The first doe was a heart shot.  On the second doe, that bullet busted both shoulders and destroyed everything in between.
