Finally swapped in the 10.5” LaRue barrel with PST into my factory PredatAR upper. I had a DD 10.3” MK18 barrel in it for a long time but found the other barrel in the EE about a year ago. I love this rifle so much. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I was hoping to go this weekend (since I only recently picked up the TRR8), but winter weather prevented it. But with the wooden Hogue grip, and that shielded SRO? It's a dandy.I've wanted a well equipped TRR8 since I first laid hands on one when they were introduced. Never had the money until now. Grail gun achieved, with a worthwhile mount to boot. |

Ordered 21NOV2020, received 11FEB2021 so about 2.5 month wait. Only about 60 rounds through so 3 car payments. After zeroing, the rifle is very accurate more than I can ever be. A-PEG pistol grip is my favorite, very aggressive and firm not hard plastic feeling. RAT stock was replaced because it was wobbly enough to bother me on the buffer tube (part of UUK). I get the mixed feelings on the looks but I view it as very utilitarian vibe where function over form is priority, especially the ease of removing it should be what other manufacturers should start taking notes of. Parts list: LaRue Ultimate Upper Kit 16” barrel 5.56(secretly 223 Wylde) w/ 13” MLOK handguard Streamlight HL-X w/ Cloud Defensive mount Primary Arms 2x GLx on ADM QD mini-ACOG mount Radian Raptor LT CH MBUS Pro iron sights ADM UIC stripped lower (blemished) LaRue MBT-2S curved trigger Radian Talon ambi-safety Magpul CTR stock Frank Proctor sling   EDIT: not sure why it's only showing the link instead of the image, preview showed the image so idk what I did wrong but link is still good. |

18" 5.56 UU kit. This is my wife's rifle. Still waiting on a LT204 that was ordered in November. When it arrives, a Crimson Trace 5-25 FFP will be mounted up. Until then an old trusted Wotac 4-14 will have to do. It has been test fired and zeroed with M193. I am starting load work up this weekend with 77 grain SMKs, 8208XBR, and IMI brass. Don't pay any attention to my messy bench. Too many projects on going, including an annealing machine. Attached File |
