Got it all together. 14.5” UU 5.56. Upper /lower fit is perfect. Zero wiggle , zero gap. like they were machined as a set. Very pleased with this rifle. 7.9 lbs as it sits, unloaded. The brake is temporary, I just threw it on for pics. Not sure what MD Im going with but it will probably be Some kind of flash hider. I’m thinking maybe surefire warcomp closed tine. Once I decide I will P&W it and ditch the brace.

Got mine together tonight. Ceracoated SIG dark grey LaRue upper/lower with SAT rail and MBT2S FN 5.56 1-7" 16" Midlength fluted barrel Tool craft bcg Magpul UBR and pistol grip Haven't decided on an optic yet. May just get an Aimpoint for now.

I bought a Bergara 16" barrel from PRI which has the shoulder for the Allen Engineering collar. I have the same barrel for a Mod H and it's a shooter. This one is no different. I wanted another host for the AEM5 that was more in the lines of a Recce but needed a handguard that was just the right length (13") to keep the gap to a minimum. The LaRecce was born.

Finally got the Steiner P4Xi mounted in a CAN; both of which have been in a closet since the release of the CAN mount. Attached File This combination can really reach out compared to the preceding Aimpoint. ETA: MBT-2S installed now too. |

Yeah, his chest cavity was oozing this weird red gelatinous substance.  That bullet did a real number on his vitals. He ran about 30 yds on pure adrenaline before he piled up. I’ll be making jerky for the next few days if anyone is interested! ETA: that Caldwell “precision turret” is the real deal for an AR platform rifle BTW. Very solid and tracks well when you get the grip off the rear “rest” thingy. |
