Are you speaking of recently or three years back? I bought AU ambi safeties 3 years go and all was good. The last time I purchased from Brownells and the last time they had all three parts was 1-1/2 years ago and spent $75.
Maybe all is good. I am suspicious as I have seen enough switch-aroo from AU with rifle boxes changed and selling “NFA lowers” and Mk12 rifles that are not Mk12, their reputation is tarnished. There is always something just not right with my AU orders.
So, forget my experiences. I am looking for what people are seeing for these née three part ambi safeties. If all is good, I want a few.

I just ordered three ambi selectors from them, based on the post above a couple of days ago. I will post photos if someone else doesn't do it first. I have bought other ambi safeties from them in the past with no issue.
The MK. 12 event is a neat rifle with a blip of Colt history even if the name chosen wasn't the best idea.
It doesn't bother me that AU is getting sbr lowers, taking them off the registry and selling them. I just bought one myself for my SCW project. I see other dealers do it to. The shops are trying to keep up with product demand and they can sell the rifles parted out faster than they can sell them as sbr's. I know people here don't like them but they have got thousands of dollars from me and will continue to do so.
As far as buying Colt items as 'collectibles' from them, you do have to be careful and maybe make a phone call sometimes to verify what you are getting.
AU does an enormous LE supply business. Although product descriptions are not good sometimes or product photos aren't current somtimes, I trust that they are doing the right things...even if they are a bit 'non-traditional'.
