I have two barrels I'd like the gas port opened up on. How far down do I need to disassemble them for the gas port service?
I was going to remove the handguard and loosen the adj block so it can slide out of the way, leaving the upper and muzzle device attached. Is that enough or do I need to remove the upper receiver and muzz device, and send a bare barrel?
Do you have a recommendation on gas port size?
They are BCM 11.5 Carbine and BCM 16" Midlength barrels. I am running SLR adj blocks on both, shooting suppressed and unsuppressed. Currently, neither will cycle pmc bronze or wolf steel unsuppressed, even with the block fully open and using carbine buffer. XM193 functions fine with the block slightly closed like 4 clicks. Everything functions suppressed. I understand BCM's are meant to shoot full power nato rounds, but I want them to function on everything, which is why I bought the adj gas block if I need to tune it down.
