Here's the link : https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar-v-10-5-9mm-1-10-lightweight-m-lok-moe-ept-sba3-pistol.html
Appears to be the only 1 available, but looks pretty good! |

MP-5AR, interested in that magazine.
And a 5-7" model! And a 10mm version!! |

Quoted: Why such a long barrel? View Quote In the other thread a while ago, they said those were their popular sellers for their existing 9mms. Shorty 4", medium length 10.5", and 16" i guess for the folks who dont want to deal with NFA or pistol braces. I got my eye out for when they drop the 4" model on us. |
I do wish it wasn't just a basic blowback though. The market needs more non-direct blowback PCCs.
Blowback and 1/2x36. Same issue I had with my original PSA 9mm AR kit from forever ago. Cut barrel and rethread in 1/2x28. If I put the wrong muzzle device or suppressor on, shame on me.

I don't see the big deal with 1/2-36. Just get a 3lug in that pitch. Any 9mm suppressor worth a damn with have 3lug adapters available.

Confused by the mag release or lack there of...That tiny button on the left looks to be tiny and not sure if it is the release or not.
I would think it would have been the AK type that is on the AK/Scorpion. Steve |

View Quote The button on the mag well looks like the LRBHO (guessing insert mag and maybe push up with thumb to release bolt?) and if you look closely at the front of the trigger guard, it looks scalloped; so I'm assuming it's similar to the CZ Scorpion mag release. |

Quoted: In stock NOW at $999.99 View Quote Yep. I'm still holding strong for that 4" to show up. So far, its only the 10" https://palmettostatearmory.com/pa-9-pcc/ar-v.html |

Pleasantly surprised to see this out earlier than expected. For those not following, this is essentially a 9mm AR based version using the same mag/bolt release mechanism as on their AK-V. The PSA Scorpion mags are of excellent quality, reliable, and hold 35 rds. I'll be patiently waiting for other versions (I'd like to see one in 8" or 8.5") to eventually pop up and look forward to the future YouTube reviews.

They were listed at $999 in the daily deals email. I missed it. I probably would have ordered, even at that price. I was hoping for $799 or less.
I just got the obligatory "Looks like you may still need this" email about the AR-V. The link is 404, as expected.
I actually don't need it, I just want it. |
4" model was in the daily deal email today. $949.
I ordered that SoB so fast i left skid marks on my keyboard. |
I wonder if they will sell completed lowers/uppers separately like with the KS 47
I noticed an ad in my email w/ a short barrel version of this and a brace. It's too bad they put that tube on the front. If it came w/ one that would fit over a suppressor it'd be usable w/o having to swap it first thing.
And then there were 3. Another 10" model, with a different rail.

The 4" was in stock a few minutes ago but I snagged it Out of stock now. The 10.5" is still available. I almost bought that last night, but waited. Glad I did.

View Quote 949.99 for the 4" model and still in stock as of right now, isnt that bad of a deal if you ask me. good looking pistol too. |
I'd like to see an 8" or 8.5" model with a lightweight hand guard next!
Any ARF members received theirs yet? Range report? |
Want this in 10.5 with FSB to make a cute little retro pistol.

I ordered the 4 inch thinking it would be good with a suppressor, am I wrong? I initially was looking to get a ar-15 pistol in 556 and suppress that, but everything i've seen and read tells me a 9mm will be much more quiet than a 556 round.

With some supressors, subsonics won't even trip a shot timer. With supersonics (and depending on what supressors are used) the 9mm and 5.56 won't be different enough to matter. |

Quoted: Thanks. Is it possible this gun won't cycle with subsonics? I have a 22 that won't and that sucks. It's not all that quiet with supersonic ammo. View Quote No, shouldn't be an issue. I have a dozen different 9mms I shoot suppressed. None have ever had an issue with ammo because it was subsonic. 147gr and 158gr are the common commercial subsonic loads. For some reason, the 147 tend to have flat noses. I have had 1 gun (AK-V) that doesn't like the flat nose shape thats common on 147gr. 158gr are round nosed like you see on 115gr ball ammo. The AK-V eats those round bullets like a fat kid and a bag of M&Ms. All my other 9mm handguns and subguns eat every flavor of ammo I can throw at them. The bigger issue you'll come across is actually finding subsonic 9mm. If you thought finding 115 blasting stuff was hard, you haven't seen anything yet. The 147 and 158gr stuff has all but disappeared. And its running like $1.20 a round when it comes in stock. If you didn't already have some stocked up, it really doesn't make much sense to try and find some right now. At least, not for the sake of dumping mags at the range and laughing at how quiet it is. |

Quoted: Thanks. Is it possible this gun won't cycle with subsonics? I have a 22 that won't and that sucks. It's not all that quiet with supersonic ammo. View Quote That would be strange if it didn't. I remember in the video the engineer did, he mentioned they were testing it with all kinds of ammo, even weird stuff, and they wanted it to work with anything. 147 gr. is usually subsonic and is pretty common standard load, definitely not "weird". Any modern 9mm firearm that doesn't work with standard 147 gr. loads would be considered defective by most people. .22 LR is a different thing, because in order to get subsonics you have to increase bullet weight or reduce the powder charge (either one) to a point where the load is way outside the design parameters of most .22 LR firearms. The amount of force from the blowback of a .22 is small to begin with, so all the tolerances are tiny. You can't make the spring too light, because then it won't feed reliably (with anything), but you can't make the bolt too light, because then regular ammunition will give you premature wear. Semi auto .22s that will reliably work with lots of different ammo, including subs, are real engineering masterpieces. |

Quoted: So i guess you haven't received it yet. I'll just wait till i get it before I order a suppressor. The wait for the suppressor is going to be unbearable. View Quote Nope. Everything's still at PSA or in transit. If the shippers will hurry up, I'll have a couple projects for the weekend. On order, I have the 4" AR-V, the PSA 3.5lb trigger, and a 3-lug for it. In my garage, I have a fatter hardguard that'll allow the suppressor to tuck up under it. And I'm also waiting on all the parts to build out another one of the PSA 1911 frames. This one will be 45acp with night sights and a threaded barrel. |
I got a shipping email with tracking for my 4" version today. I'm hoping it might be at my FFL by Friday or Saturday.
