I have a Foxtrot Mike FM-9, I shoot it in USPSA, I'm trying to Geissele all my things, and I have some questions.
I will preface with: The FM-9 comes with a .308 carbine spring and H3 weight buffer (a proprietary design from them). It also comes with a weight in the BCG (The area in the rear that is usually hollow, or cut away entirely in an SP1 style BCG is filled in). Thus, the cycle rate is at least a little slower than some of the AR9s out there.
Question:
Would you support using the MPX (or MCX) SSA in the FM-9?
But wait, there's more!
If neither of those will work, I currently have an S3G that has been used for about 100 rds in a 5.56 AR. I know your website says using it in a 9mm AR will void the warranty. I'm curious about what problems I should expect. As long as it is not likely to cause hammer follow/slam fire/burst, I would be willing to make my FM-9 the "crash test dummy".
Question #2
Would this be unsafe to do, as in "could cause unintentional burst/runaway gun malfunction" like Foxtrot Mike warns about?
Question #3
Would you be interested in meticulously collected data from someone willing to do this? (and/or occasional in-shop examinations, since dropping it off at your shop is feasible, at least on my end)
