Generation 3, Auto-gated, Thin-Filmed White Phosphor image intensifier tubes with factory data records. GET HIGH PERFORMANCE FOR LESS MONEY WITH THE BEST WARRANTY IN THE INDUSTRY! Due to the holiday weekend and sale, we ask that you allow 2-4 business days for order processing of in-stock NGI/PVS-14-XLS and NGI/RNVG-XLS systems. Additional units are being built every day, and NGI/DTNVG-XLS systems are also being built and will be ready to ship in approximately 4-5 weeks! Elbit Systems of America, based in Roanoke, Virginia, formerly the Night Vision division of Harris Corporation prior to their merger with L3 Technologies and previously known as ITT/Exelis is one of the premier manufacturers of Generation 3 image intensifiers, and has long been known as an industry leader in visual augmentation systems, including the AN/PSQ-20 ENVG Night Vision/Thermal Fusion system, and was recently awarded the contract for the United States Marine Corps’ Squad BNVG program. While TNVC’s MIL-SPEC systems still represent the absolute best performance money can buy, these new Night Goggles systems are an excellent option for those who are looking for a lower-cost Gen. 3 White Phosphor NVG, and are sure to be popular with hunters, enthusiasts, and tactical shooters alike! These COM-SPEC systems are the absolute best value for a new WP goggle system without paying for TNVC’s premium MIL-SPEC systems. The Elbit Systems of America XLSH image intensifier tubes being used in the NGI XLS systems are considered “MIL-SPEC fallouts,” and therefore “Commercial Spec” or “COM-SPEC” tubes that do not necessarily meet the MIL-SPEC requirements of the ESA-NV YH-series image intensifier tubes, COM-SPEC does not mean that they are “bad tubes” or poor performers. The XLSH and SLH series tubes are still excellent performers that simply failed to meet one or another of the requirements to be considered a “MIL-SPEC” tube. These requirements may range from certain values being outside of MIN/MAX tolerances or cosmetics—however in many cases may be indistinguishable from YH-series tubes based on data sheets, meaning that any flaws or defects that preclude a MIL-SPEC classification could be microscopic and/or largely invisible in normal use. NGI XLS VIDEO The very lowest performance figures of these XLSH tubes approximate U.S. OMNI V performance, often considered to be the first of the modern “high performance” night vision, while the highest spec’ed units rival the best modern “super-tubes.” We do not sort them beyond ESA-NV’s specs, and individual tubes can vary in performance from tube to tube, no hand-select option will be available for these systems: Tube Details*: Type: Elbit Systems F94xx XLSH (Gen. 3 AG, P45 White Phosphor) FOM: NO MAX SNR: Min. 21 (NO MAX) Resolution: Min. 64 lp/mm (NO MAX) Photocathode Sensitivity (Luminous u A/W): Min. 1350 (NO MAX) Halo: Max 1.25 (NO MIN) EBI: Max. 2.5 (NO MIN) Spot Specs - Zone 1: 1 (.003 - .006), Zone 2: 1 (>.009 - .012) / 1 (> .006 - .009) / 2 (.003 - .006), Zone 3: 1 (>.009 - .012) / 2 (> .006 - .009) / 3 (.003 - .006) *These are the manufacturer’s stated MIN/MAXs for the XLSH-series tubes, actual specs have been significantly better than minimums. These minimum/maximum specs are not indicative of any individual tube’s performance. Though these NGI XLS systems are built with COM-SPEC image intensifier tubes, the rest of the components are 100% MIL-SPEC. Even for these COM-SPEC units we WILL NOT compromise by purchasing lower cost, non-standard, non-MIL-SPEC optics and housing components from vendors looking to make a quick buck on products that "look the part," but are unable to perform the same as MIL-SPEC components--the price savings is entirely in the image intensifiers. NGI and TNVC source these COM-SPEC tubes directly from ESA-NV, and we have chosen to pass on our savings to YOU, our customers, by offering these Night Goggles XLS systems at some of the lowest prices ever for Gen. 3 WP systems. Non-MIL-SPEC tubes should mean non-MIL-SPEC prices! https://www.nightgoggles.com/ |

Quoted: wow I might be able to afford a bino set after all! @TNVC how do these compare to your normal line? View Quote A lot of virtual ink has been spilled over this. Long story short, if you’re looking for the absolute best performance possible, the TNVC MIL-SPEC systems are still it. That being said, these ESA XLSH tubes in these Night Goggles XLS systems are still great performers for the price, the lowest manufacturer specs are in the OMNI V range, with no ceiling to the highest potential specs. They really are what we’ve said they are—a good, solid performing, new Gen. 3 thin-filmed WP system with our Lifetime Limited Warranty at a lower price point than TNVC’s premium systems that meet or exceed all MIL-SPECs. Are they as good as our premium systems? No, but these were intended as a more budget conscious option to get a fantastic capability at a lower price point. ~Augee |

Is it possible to purchase from TNVC or an associated vendor roto-molded hard cases (Hardigg/Pelican/SKB/etc.) for these units and their accessories? I'm not much of a fan of pick-and-pluck or flat foam lined where to products can still move around or bump into each other. I recall your early D-series rifle scopes used to have them.
|
|
The non articulating set can still be adjusted, right? Things like inter pupil distance, distance from nose, etc.
|
|
Are the PVS-14s still rated to mount on top of a rifle? I don't see a rifle mount add on, on either site.

"Available on backorder"
So how long to get the DTNVGs? ETA: Ah, 4 to 5 weeks... |

Anyone ever tried the financing before or know how it would work with this sale? Bad time of the month for me to drop this much but don't really want to miss out and want to drop some on a down payment atleast.

View Quote Financing is working the normal way--go ahead and place your order and select the finance option, the bank kind of takes over from that point based on your specific credit application, which could take a great many forms, up to an including 0% down financing or down payment plus installments, and ship before--or ship after the loan has been fully paid off. That all is again, more or less handled by the bank after you select the finance option and the bank simply lets us know what terms have been set. The one thing that I would say is that builds can be scheduled based on the expected maturity date of the financing, so if you plan to pay it off early, please let us know so we can prepare for that expected date, not the anticipated maturity date. ~Augee |

Quoted: How do these compare to premium Gen 2+ NODS? When you say they do not match premium versions, what exactly do you mean? Field of view? Blend? Brightness? @TNVC_Augee View Quote @Silverbulletz06 What do you mean by “premium” Gen. 2+? Are you referring to ECHOs? Or 4G MIL-SPEC (formerly Intens) or what? Regarding the TNVC MIL-SPEC units versus the Night Goggles XLS units, ultimately the MIL-SPEC units will have better and more consistent overall performance first and foremost. What I mean by that is that an individual ESA XLSH tube may have a higher FOM or better lp/mm than a given specific MIL-SPEC tube, but the MIL-SPEC tube will be more... “even” across the board, you won’t see as many high or low swings within individual tubes, even between individual specs, they’re often either consistently higher or consistently lower. While many of these XLSH tubes are excellent, and even the lowest among them are quite respectable performers, you may get a unit that has super high FOM, but also super high EBI or Halo. Or vice versa. The MIL-SPEC tubes are more repeatable, and more predictable, hence why we are comfortable offering a no cost hand-select option with them. Beyond that—great thin-filmed tubes are great, but most end users tend to agree that unfilmed tubes are even better, especially in extreme low light conditions—even when spec sheets would suggest that they would be close or identical, or sometimes even when the spec sheet would suggest the thin-filmed is a “better” performer. The TNVC MIL-SPEC units offer that consistent quality and high performance, no questions asked. This is important for customers seeking the absolute best performance they can get. With the NGI XLS COM-SPEC units, you have a wider range of potential tube performance—and again, I would reiterate, the bottom of the specs are not terrible, they’re just not “top of the line,” but they’re not priced like top of the line systems either. What we have done is simply to price these units appropriately to the lowest end of the performance spectrum, full well knowing that tubes at that level are rare (as are “supertubes”) in order to give a much wider audience a realistic opportunity to own quality, Gen. 3 WP night vision. Ultimately, it comes down to if you want guaranteed performance at a particular level, the TNVC MIL-SPEC systems are the way to go. If you’re willing to risk a little to get anywhere from a decent tube to a “supertube” or something in between for significantly lower cost, the NGI XLS COM-SPEC systems might be for you. ~Augee |

I want to say thank you to you guys for offering this value. I personally feel you guys could have upped the price a bit and still it would have been a popular option...especially with the current political/social climate. Instead you chose to offer what I feel is a fairly priced entry into Gen 3 NV (WP nonetheless!). In my opinion it shows a commendable balance between operating a profitable business and providing us common folk better accessibility to this amazing technology.
Thank you guys again and I look forward to receiving my order in a couple weeks! |
|
Thanks @matt_tn!
I’m sure we could have charged more or sorted by individual specs some more, but we do truly want to open up night vision ownership and capabilities to as wide a range of people as possible, and the spirit of Independence Day seemed like the perfect time to do it, too! As we’ve said, these Night Goggles units may not necessarily be for every customer, and the TNVC MIL-SPEC units are still the top of the line product, but if these NGI XLS units give more people the opportunity to get a great night vision device and capabilities that have not been able to before, than we’re happy to see that happen! ~Augee |

Oh sure, come out with this after I already order single tube PVS-14...
It's racist... |

You guys got me for a pvs-14.
This is my first NV purchase, I'm looking forward to it! |

Thanks again for all the overwhelming orders we have received! We will continue to build everything in-house and never farm out any of our builds! Heck even Sam is gonna fly in to help get some units out the door. Maybe he'll autograph a few housings being a rock star and all that!
Seriously though, Sam is a wealth of knowledge and we can use the help getting through the immense orders for NGI and TNVC! |

Are these the bare unit only or do they come with the standard accessories (bag, skull crusher, etc.)?

I think arfcommers should get preferential treatment in the backorder queue. |

We want to thank everyone for the largest sale TNVC/NGI has ever had! While the sale is now over, you can still find some of lowest prices out there for an XLSH system through NightGoggles THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TRUST WITH YOUR BUILDS AND YOUR VALUED BUSINESS!
Lastly, we received this feedback from a customer and it's probably one of the nicest comments we have received. My quote back to him as well. Quoted: Had to grab the deal on your NGI/PVS-14-XLS GEN. 3 THIN-FILMED WHITE PHOSPHOR MNVD (ELBIT USA TUBE) from Night Goggles. Did a whole lotta research before I took the plunge--and, I must say, you guys make it easy for us with all your straight dope out there. Your posts, images, and You Tubes are great. No BS--just verified and documented facts, figures, and spec sheets. NV isn't for everyone, but with things getting rather "spicy" out there these days--like they say: "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it--and NOT have it." For me at least it was: "Do I keep some green pieces of paper in a bank getting zero interest or get product that could save me, my family or my property?" It's a no-brainer. Plus, a NV from a 1st Tier Manufacturer and Supplier like TVNC/NG that custom builds each unit, it gives you confidence that any issues that spring up (if at all) will be handled. Sent you guys a few emails and did a few calls at first--and Jaimie and Tom should be congratulated for their patience with a NV "Pilgrim" like me! You know what really clinched the deal? Saw on a site where a TNVC/NG customer had an issue with a purchased unit, called you, and amazingly your President, Vic DiCosola, actually answered the phone and personally handled and resolved the issue with speed, professionalism, and courtesy. MAN--it don't get better than that--and I worked for a Fortune 500 company in Customer Relations. THAT is Unheard of these days! Now--let the wait for my back-order begin! JACOB--BUILD ME A GREAT ONE ON NG ORDER #6541, LIKE I KNOW YOU WILL! I am also in for my first NV purchase. Only did this because of the comfort level with TNVC after years and years being on this forum answering questions and providing support.
No other place selling NV has ever come close to making me feel it was safe to put out the dollars needed to own a device. I look forward receiving mine. |

Hey what’s the status on these orders? The original post said 4-5 weeks and I’m at 17 this coming week.
Thanks!! |
|
My ship date was just pushed back again another two weeks. Were I to guess, I'd think there was a tube supply issue, possibly related to mandatory shutdowns or reduced work force requirements on the component side. No explanation has been given at any of the enquiries, though. So far, the end users have remained patient.
TNVC is a solid company, so I'm not overly worried, although taking delivery before the election was the intent at order. That said, I imagine that was the intent behind a lot of the orders. Victor mentioned it was their most successful offering to date, which indicates high volume, from like minded individuals the country over. I understand body armor sales are similarly impacted, ammunition, medical supplies, training, storage food, Steiner products.... So, it's not as if there's no context to be had. While I agree that having a more depthful explanation regarding status and obstacles to fulfillment would be helpful regarding the wait, staff time is also probably in high demand. Just like Class III transfers at this point in history, if you want it, it's a waiting game. |

All,
Please know that are as disappointed in the extending lead times as you are, of not more—the intent behind these systems was to provide a low cost, but high performance entry-level Gen. 3 WP option to the market. We expected them to be popular, however we obviously could not predict or plan for events that would occur during the summer (the July 4th release was projected months in advance) that caused demand to increase beyond our wildest projections, to the extent that, as many know, we had to suspend accepting new orders within less than a month of the release of the XLS systems. Obviously 2020 has not been a “normal” year, and the night vision market has exploded like we have never seen before, even while current events have caused many supply chain delays. Some things to note: We have tubes stacked deep—the delay is in assembling devices. A good portion of our staff are not only TNVC employees, but also reserve military or law enforcement members, and we have had to whether two National Guard activations this summer—one being myself, and one being one of our builders, who was called to duty for four weeks, which had affects on our operations. We have also hired more people over the year, including for assembly, however another one of our builders suffered a hand injury earlier this year—he is doing okay, and is back up to full capacity, however it did cause yet another unexpected delay. As many know, TNVC and NGI prefer to sell semi-custom, built to order systems to allow our customers greater choice and variety, rather than putting pre-built systems on the shelf and tossing them in a box. In the late months of 2019 and early-2020, we forecasted enough tubes and components for the XLS systems with the intent that we would have a good stock of pre-built systems ready to ship immediately during the 4th of July Sale, while staying below a 4 week lead time for newly built systems following the sale to last the remainder of the calendar year. While it is not typically our policy to discuss specific numbers—let me just say that it was considered an extremely ambitious quantity and aggressive pricing internally even at that time, not knowing how 2020 would turn out. What I’d like to reinforce in terms of delays, is that not only did we sell out of “ready to ship” systems within minutes, but that we managed to sell through our projected supply for the remainder of the year in less than a month, and closed orders as soon as we had sold through that allotment. The extremely high number of orders front-loaded at the beginning of the sale has regrettably caused some of our build time estimates to slip, and we of course have to maintain our build schedule not just on NGI XLS systems, but also all orders for TNV mil-spec systems also placed during this time. Again, to all who have ordered and are currently waiting, we sincerely apologize for the delays and greatly appreciate your patience. For those who are waiting for orders to resume, thank you for your patience as well—the NGI XLS systems will be returning, but only once we have not only ensured our commitment both to the high quality which we have built our reputation on and existing orders, but until we are 100% confident that our supply chain and assembly team can support new orders within accurate and predictable lead times—what I can say is that we are nearing the home stretch of getting caught back up, but we’re not there yet. Thank you, ~Augee |
