Hey Colt crew. Was at the in-laws for the holidays and the movie Blood Diamond was on one of the tvs. Hadn’t seen the movie in several years and was very fond of the setup that Archer used at the end. IMFDB says it’s an “CAR-15/XM177” hybrid of some sort. I have an SBR stamped lower currently built out with a 6940 upper that never got off the ground so I’ll move that along and probably grab a new Colt upper (probably a 6933?) for with an A2 carry handle to mimic the look of the movie. My big question is if anyone has experience with the optic mounts that go on the carry handle to put the AimPoint on. Also, what light mount is being used? I have a CD Rein in the box that I’d put on the project. Not looking to be clone correct by any means but visually aesthetic. Thanks

Not a Blood Diamond clone by any stretch, but the ol' PSA 10.5 pistol with the H&R CAR brace and the thin handguards from Brownell's. I have the fake moderator, too, just haven't gotten off my butt and put it on. Not a real A2, but scratches the itch for a lot less $$. Attached File |
