So I sent a message to Brownells last Saturday. Said it would take 2 business days to reply. Posting it here. Maybe I'll get a response.
I've had a MultiTasker II multitool since probably 2009 time frame. Used the tool A LOT over the years. The other day, I was pulling a pin off my lawn mower and the rivet popped. Now I have two halves of a multitool.
I've been a Brownells customer from around the same time and spent a decent amount of money with them. So, I went on their page to see about their "lifetime satisfaction guarantee." Contact page type a message but there is not a selection for anything like warranty. I put it down as SDS request since it was the only thing I could logically say might be the right option. Why acronyms that aren't clear? Why not clear options?
Including the message I sent, with one sentence removed since I'm posting it publicly (nothing rude or demanding).
I have one of your MultiTasker 2 tools, which I've been using for at least a decade. It just blew out the rivet that holds the halves together. I was using it to pull a clip pin off of my lawnmower. Wasn't anything too excessive. Listed as SDS request, as I wasn't sure what SDS stood for, and there didn't seem to list anything like "warranty" or "repair."
Wanted to see if you guys could repair/replace this tool, being I've been using it a lot. Can forward pictures if needed.
https://youtu.be/ML9-qwxXItQI didn't see it listed on your site anymore, but did see the old YouTube video showing it, saying it was covered by the lifetime guarantee.
