All rounds functioned without issue, so that's good. I shot it with a bare muzzle, and I will have to decide on a brake. I've been told the MAMS can affect accuracy somewhat, so I might grab the 2-port brake since that was optimized for 6.5. Speeds were 2401 for the 147s, 2434 for the 140s, 2554 for the 120s, and 2546 for the 130 FGMM. The Hornady 140s shot the best, but only managed a 1.4 MOA group. But all of my groups were 20 rounds other than the Fed 130s, since I used 2 to sight in. The brass also landed much more consistently, too. There's also a non-zero chance that some of the rounds impacted weeds since the place was kinda grown over since my last time there. It was weird, all of the Hornadys center-punched the paster on the first shot, but then the 2nd shot would drop low. They would then slightly move up and stay there.

| Hell week has ended. We were down two clerks this week. As the "relief clerk" I have to be able to cover the retail window when they are busy and shorthanded and still be able to cover my regular duties in the back of the station. It has been an absolute clusterfuck this week, such that I was mandated to work my scheduled day off. OT is nice but in these circumstances I could have done without. We'll be marginally better next week when one clerk returns from leave. One will still be off on FMLA. Hopefully we can get someone out of the pool for some relief. Meanwhile I shall enjoy the rest of the OU/Michigan game (21-13 OU with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter). I found a bottle of 1792 BiB and I will be pouring a dram or several very soon. |
