I'm an Edge member and usually choose the 2nd business day shipping option on my orders. A couple of orders I placed in the last month were backorders. 2 of them have recently shipped out. The problem is, they were shipped by the 5-7 business day, slowest ground option, and I was charged $4.95 for shipping. That option uses UPS to ship most of the way and then transfers to USPS for final delivery. My first order shipped out last Monday, 05/11/2020 and I haven't received it yet. The last tracking update was from 05/14/2020. The second order seems to be headed in the same direction - it's last scan was 05/19/2020 from the same location as the first order. USPS sucks! I have talked to customer service and they are working on getting everything straightened out.
TLDR:
So my message to you all is - if you have pending backorders, you might want to contact Brownells and make sure they get shipped out via the method you selected at checkout.
