Let me start by saying I am a Brownells edge member and I have been ordering from Brownells for a long time. I placed an order for overnight delivery late Monday night/early Tuesday morning. My cart total before shipping was $456.45. I made sure to exceed the $450 merchandise total so I could use a $40 off coupon. On top of this I selected overnight delivery for a $20 shipping upcharge. With the added shipping charges my total was $476.45. After the coupon my complete total was $436.45 delivered. I placed the order and received an email showing this. AFTER placing the order, Brownells gave me reduced pricing and reduced my merchandise total by less than $13 now making my merchandise total $443.72. AFTER they did this they removed the $40 coupon and charged me a total of $463.72.
It would have been nice to get a phone call that they were doing this. I could have applied a $20 coupon based on the "modified" balance but this did not happen. Its bad enough that by reducing the amount by less then $13 they voided my $40 coupon. While "saving“ me less than $13 on items after I completed the order I lost a $40 discount. To make matters worse, my "upcharged" overnight delivery is now on day 2 with out being deliverd and Brownells CS tells me they will not refund the upcharged shipping because its not their problem. Like the title says, I am disapponted in Brownells CS.
