DD makes great rifles, but for an MSRP for nearly 2000 USD, I just don't see the sense in it. If you consider the MSRP, with in store prices, for 2100 you can buy
a KAC SR-15. If I were going to spend somewhere in that neighborhood, I'm going for something a little more specialized.
Bear with me. I understand this doesn't sound like a technical post, but if you consider the CHF barrel of the DD, the rail system, furniture, bolt, receiver sets, materials, etc,
I just don't understand why it's worth the MSRP price. DD makes great barrels. Their BCGs are up to spec, aggressive staking, SP,HP,MPI 158 carpenter bolt. It's all there, but I
just don't see it.
I bought a DDM4V7 or some derivative a few years ago, maybe a month or two before the new furniture and laser engraved uppers. It was a great rifle. No hiccups. I ran it pretty
hard. I just don't remember paying as much for it. I think I was out the door for 12? Maybe 13?
