I've had a request for a sticky topic to post pics of your DSC/J&T Distributing builds. Once I get back in the shop and get a chance I'll post some pics of some of my better builds.

Jesse,
Thank you so much for all your help and personal attention in getting me exactly what I wanted for my wife. Outstanding service and the kit is awesome, sorry the pics are crap. 14.5" lightweight chrome lined w/Phantom on an A1 Upper w/ A2 sight apperture Here it is as built (First Timer - took approx. 30-45 minutes) from the kit (Except no HG-4 HG's): http://www.geocities.com/nightstalker6_sd/jandtbuild.jpg And here it is as it will actually be used: http://www.geocities.com/nightstalker6_sd/asis.jpg Talk about light (about 5lbs. maybe?), fast and balancing well! The Cav-Arms lower has a J&T Parts kit in it BTW. Thank You! NS6 |

Redbone,
Thanks man, I put a lot of thought into my wife's rifle and now am finding I like it better than my rifle. To answer your question, it's a 16" chrome lined lightweight kit ($499.95) with a Phantom upgrade (+$20) that's been shortened to 14.5" , threaded, and permanently attached by J&T($60). (Make sure you tell them to use an A2 Apperture on your A1 upper.) The Cav-Arms lower was from their Christmas special a year or two ago so it was $80 from them. $660 total and couldn't be happier. Hope that helps, NS6 |

Built 1st ar using a DPMS forged lower and a J&T varmint kit (16" fluted bull barrel) The finish of both are almost identical. Still working on breaking it in. VERY happy with it. showed it to a friend who is a Marine and pro-Bushy. He was thoroughly impressed. sorry no pics.

I WILL NEVER BUY ANY MORE KITS FROM J&T. THEY MISS SHIPPED THREE KITS . ONE kit was a 24'' fluted all the goods Groups where worst THAN a old beater with $20 a box ammo sent upper back and it still groups suck. Del ton m4 kits looks class a and m4 kit shoots raged hole at 50 yards with cheap ammo. ps and you did not come back to gunstock in 2004

2 quick questions before I order. Does the DS-4 have M4 feed ramps and do the upgraded handguards have double heat sheilds?

Very very very happy with J&T. Ordered Saturday night, at my door from the big brown truck on Wednesday. Flat-top 20" on a Lauer lower. First build and went together in 2 hours taking my time and cleaning everything. All parts were there and great quality. Nice trigger for a "service grade rifle". I will buy from J&T again.

I'm happy w/ my J&T Kit also.
*edit* Until I fired it... I contacted them, let's see what they'll do for me. |

20" A3/A4 JT distributing kit on a doublestar lower. I got my kit the same day I ordered it since I'm local. Thanks for the extra pivot/takedown pin spring and detent, it really came in handy since I sent the first one flying. |

I just posted this in the ameetec forum, but I might as well put it here too. It's an Ameetec lower with a J&T kit. This is my third AR, but it's my first build and my first reliable AR. I'm very pleased.

Very happy w/ my DS-4. I upgraded many parts, VLTOR Modstock, Ergo Grip, GG&G BUIS. Was supposed to pick it up at the gunshow in Nashville. Through no fault of anyone in particualr, the upper I had ordered was not brought. No big deal, as I received it today (Sunday was gunshow) well packaged. Great service and I will do business with them again.

I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

Does that barrel have a 1 in 8 or 1 in 7 twist? The last time I checked they did'nt have too much of an option for these twists, just a 1 in 9. I did'n t know if some thing has changed or not. I'd like to know how that this shoots, she looks good though...

My company just purchased 70+ DSC M4 type carbines to go down range. 50+ of the guns have had 1-1.5K rounds each through them last month. We have had only one problem with a buffer tube detent coming out. Do have a problem with one barrel but that was a ammo issue and not the firearm. Good job, guys.
