Thanks for sharing an interesting somewhat rare Expanse model CE2000HB M4+ carbine in FDE finish.
I remember those back in early 2017 but mostly the standard black finish and true they're an exclusive model for Davidson's.
At the end of the Expanse production run they were using genuine Colt marked SOCOM chrome lined 14.5" barrels with pin & welded long length Vortex flash suppressor.
Also at that time the factory are running out of standard Expanse unique parts that they were using standard parts from the LE6920, such as fire control group, two piece magazine catch, MPC marked bolt, C marked bolt carrier, H heavy buffer, and sometimes a complete LE6920 upper half.
Some other components also varied like the receiver extension both 4 position and 6 position are used during the run, the Expanse were all made at the Colt Competition Rifle subcontractor location at TX.
I also remember around that time from Feb 1 up to Aug 31 Colt offered a free kit of TruGlo red dot sight, mount and a Magpul 30rd PMAG.
In March of 2016 I bought the first older version Expanse CE1000 mainly I'm going to upgrade the lower with genuine Colt spare parts that I have and just use the upper half as a shooting range plinker.
My Expanse lower now have mostly all factory Colt internals, the two piece Colt mag catch (original was one piece), standard semi auto fire control group (original was Colt match straight hammer), ambi selector and H marked buffer.
I also replaced my upper half with a LE6920-EPR CK Enhanced Patrol Rifle conversion kit with 16" carbine standard gov't profile barrel and Centurion Arms 13.5" CMR MLOK rail system.
