EDIT CMMG and RTB CS is the best I've dealt with. I love these companies.
Bought this kit from RTB, no matter what I do the mags won't hold over 18 rounds ever, and one of them spits rounds out bullets vertical causing hilarious malfs. I'll be contacting CS to get that replaced. When I first ran it, the edges of the barrel were razor sharp and actually cut the bullet pretty badly during feeding. I throated it mildly (giggity) with a diamond dust needle file and all is well.
This is just my experience, let me know if you guys experience the same.. 9" CMMG barrel/bolt, PWS free-float rail, Aero upper, strike eagle 1-6x with MI 30mm mount, always suppressed.
All rounds fired bench rested, bipod out, cold bore. 50 yards.
18 shot group, Federal American Eagle Suppressor 45gr cprn. Insanely quiet.
At 50 yards this is a pretty good group, for an 18.5" 12gauge shooting 00 buck, that is. This monstrosity measured 15" from one extreme to another.
12 shot group Remington Thunderbolt 40gr LRN 1/10 of these gives a MILD supersonic crack. Very quiet.
This boi measured 4" from one extreme to another and in spite of the fact that Remington ammo has produced the worst God forsaken groups in any other rimfire I've EVER owned. Of the three types I've tested so far this has been the best in my upper.
12 shot group Federal Value Pack 36gr cphp. These are loud as heck. Almost requires earpro. Everyone of them is indeed supersonic.
This mistake measures about 7" from one extreme to another. (5" if you remove the flier) I do NOT take credit for that flier and insist it was the walmart ammo. I didn't see anything in the scope indicating I went wild, so I'm saying it was the ammo. Your opinion may vary.
Hope this helps someone. I wish I knew how to mention RTB. Those dudes have been on the effing ball when it comes to customer service.
New king of the hill for accuracy.
This group measured about 1.5-2" at 50 yards.
Before you go buying it, it turned the CMMG upper into a bolt action. The bullets appear to be rougher and wider than the others. They're non coated lead, not even waxed as far as I can tell. They just will not feed. Which really sucks because they are ACCURATE. They get about halfway into the chamber then stops abruptly, needing to be reracked over and over again until it finally beats it into the locked position, the round now being stuck just skips over the extractor during the process. To give you an idea of the fail rate, I had 15 in the magazine. This is an 8 shot group. I tried to get a solid dozen it just wasn't going to happen and I wasn't having enough fun to single load 4 more.
